What: Charity 5k Run or 1 mile Walk

Why: To raise money for two great causes, in honor of my big brother, David J Ansel

We are excited to kick off our wedding weekend with a charity run/walk in honor of Ryan's brother, Dave. Proceeds will go towards both the David J. Ansel Endowed Scholarship (J Wood Platt) and Access to Success Foundation (A2S) . 

The David J. Ansel Endowed Scholarship has been established to honor the memory of David James Ansel  by his brothers Ryan and Drew along with family and friends.  David, LaSalle HS: 2007/ Hobart & William Smith Colleges: 2011, passed away on 8/19/2011. This endowment is awarded to an exemplary caddie who works at The Philadelphia Cricket Club,  has a record of high scholastic and athletic achievement  and chooses to attend either Hobart & William Smith College, Davidson College, the University of Pennsylvania  or LaSalle University.

The Access to Success (A2S), founded by one of Ryan's Davidson friends and teammates, is a non-profit focused on providing sustainable programs that generate positive change for Nigerian children and their communities.  Your donation will support the After School Academy, a program to transform and empower the lives of Nigerian children through academics and athletics.

The race will be at Paddock Park in Havertown, PA. In addition to the race, there may be some hoops/basketball games, as well! We hope to see you there!
